SONS is a cycle of independent music promoted by the cultural association Castelló September Memories. It began its activity in May 2003. During these 18 years of existence they have organized more than 250 concerts, always by independent artists, under the umbrella of pop-rock, electronic and experimental music.
For the first time in its history, the cycle will occupy the stage of the courtyard in ECO-Les Aules, within the special program to celebrate the International Museum Day in Castelló (DIMCAS 2021).
The experimental emotion of Sara Fontán and the polyrhythmic energy of Edi Pozo make up Los Sara Fontán. They do not record albums: their terrain is live, always physical, changing and permeable to the environment, fleeing from the productive routines of the industry.
A concert by Los Sara Fontán is the soundtrack of whatever one wants to imagine, giving freedom to the spectator to interpret it and feel it in a personal and unique way.
Being a violinist requires being very clear about Itzhak Perlman's maxim: "What is learned slowly, is forgotten slowly". Perhaps that is why Sara Fontán has waited until now to lead a project under her own name, after 25 years of coexisting with the violin and exploring its possibilities in all kinds of styles and formats, from classical music to post-rock, exploring electronic music (Árbol), video dance (PIÑA), free improvisation (La Orquesta del Caballo Ganador) or pop (Manos de Topo).
Sara uses the violin as a starting point to reach any texture and invoke any mood. By her side, Edi Pou (half of ZA!, a referent within the European underground music) takes on the challenge of turning percussion into melody and tensing the dynamics of the epic.
